Michie Family Collection

Scope and Contents

This collection containts material on the Michie Family. In particular, researchers will find information on John Fremont Michie, his parents, Tena Crum Michie and other family members. There are two addresses in this collection. One from John Fremont Michie on the dedication of the Fair Grounds Building and one on Casper vs. Casper, given at a meeting of the State Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. There are also multiple autobiographies and related materials.

Morris and Earnest "Earnie" Kline Letters

The Mrs. Robert Blackmore collection consists of 140 photographs dating from 1888 to 1938, including images of the Blackmore family and friends, the Standard and Midwest Oil Refineries, the Gothberg Ranch, and historical photographs of early buildings in Casper, Wyoming and various locations in Bessemer, Wyoming. The collection also includes letters, writings, genealogical information, scrapbook pages, news clippings, and various family documents.

This record group contains map brochures for Natrona County and the City of Casper as well as a map depicting the Brookhurst Refinement Area. Also included is a set of Geological Survey Sheets for Natrona County, Wyoming on its Geology, Landsat Image, Water, Environmental, Uranium, Minerals & Coal, Petroleum I and Petroleum II. The geological survey sheets were provided complimentary to the Natrona County Public Library and published in April, 1980.
