3 pages from 1 1923 Wyoming Family Photo Album. The creator of the photo album was a doctor at the Lathrop Clinic in the Salt Creek Hospital. Photographs include those of the oil wells and oil fields; Lavoye, Wyoming; and sites and scenes of Casper and its surroundings. There are 24 photographs in total.

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of digital files of post cards of Casper and Natrona County. Subjects include banks, churches, the Cole Creek train wreck, hospitals, refineries, schools, streets and more. They pertain to the years 1902 to 1956 approximately. It looks like many of these post cards were purchased on eBay between 2004 and 2008 and were thus subsequently added to the Beverly M. Holt and Kenny Gray Collection once they were digitized.

Content Description

This record is a guide to the individual panoramic prints in the Casper College Library Special Collections. Many of the 58 photographic prints are of Casper, Wyoming. Researchers will also find photographs of the Salt Creek Oil Fields and of Midwest refining among others. The collection overall emcompasses more than areas in just Casper and Natrona County. Photographs in the collection date from 1913 to 1938.

Content Description Manuscript of Salt Creet--The First Fifty Years by James G. Crawford, Chemical and Geological Engineer out of Casper. The manuscript includes notes and inserts of material and is comprised of 24 chapters with a prologue and an epilogue. Content description From the Item: The subjects of the Winnie Bucknum Davis Collection of photographs are early Casper and Wyoming pioneers from approximately 1889 to 1945. They include the Bucknum and Davis families among others. There are several photographs of Davis including one with Casper's C.H. Townsend.
