The Jack Rosenthal Maps and Papers consist of 42 framed U.S. Geological Survey maps tracing the steps of Ferdinand Vandeveer Hayden and the men that accompanied him on his surveying expeditions. The maps are arranged and described in the map gallery section of this guide. These maps date from 1848-1909. The archives and its student staff have added scans from original copies of the U.S. Geological Surveys as well as a copy of a photograph taken by the photographer William H. Jackson as found...
