Scope and Contents From the File: Curtis Peacock was the next maestro of the CCS and spent 30 years in total with the Orchestra. The Symphony gained local and national attention, was able to host some of its biggest, most successful events, and became a true, professional Symphony under Peacock's tutelage. Peacock was guided by assistant conductor Rex Eggleston for the 1972-1973 season, notably his trial run as conductor, and by 1974 he was official. Scope and Contents From the File: After an entire season of searching for a new conductor, the WSO chose Jonathan Shames as their next maestro during the 2001-2002 season. The 2002-2003 season "Changes" allowed the new conductor to experience rehearsals and performances with community, implant, and junior musicians, both in and out of Casper and Wyoming.
