This file hosts newspaper clippings, programs, posters, and other documents that refer to the era of the Orchestra when it was called the Casper Symphony Orchestra under Curtis Peacock. Casper Symphony Orchestra lasted from 1978-1993 until its name was changed to Wyoming Symphony Orchestra in 1994, and the organization still uses that name.

A clarinetist known only as Mr. Bogue brought the Casper Symphony to Wyoming in the late 1910s and passed his baton to a pharmacist named Ray Cook who renamed the Symphony Casper Concert Symphony Orchestra. These documents are a mixture of newspaper articles, programs, posters, and other related materials.

Scope and Contents This file represents a little part of the Casper Symphony Guild that was established alongside the Symphony Orchestra in Casper. In its early days, the Casper Symphony Guild was a collective of housewives that ran the Symphony, planned its events, namely the Symphony Ball, sold tickets and memberships, and promoted the performances and activities of the Orchestra.
