This collection contains a series of black photographic prints of the Salt Creek Oil Field taken by Alva L. Henderson, Engineer for Standard Oil of Indiana, during the year 1924. They were printed by the Picture Shop in Casper, Wyoming.

Content Description

This record is a guide to the individual panoramic prints in the Casper College Library Special Collections. Many of the 58 photographic prints are of Casper, Wyoming. Researchers will also find photographs of the Salt Creek Oil Fields and of Midwest refining among others. The collection overall emcompasses more than areas in just Casper and Natrona County. Photographs in the collection date from 1913 to 1938.

Content Description This collection consists of 3 pages from 1 1923 Wyoming Family Photo Album. The creator of the photo album was a doctor at the Lathrop Clinic in the Salt Creek Hospital, Dr. V.A. Bacon. He and his wife were married on the night of the Cole Creek Disaster. Photographs include those of the oil wells and oil fields; Lavoye, Wyoming; and sites and scenes in Casper and of its surroundings.
