Scope and Contents From the File: After Peacock retired from the Symphony in 2001, they sought out new, talented conductors to take over the maestro's position. From 2001-2002 the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra embarked on their Season of Discovery, inviting six conductor candidates to Casper to host their own trial concerts. Scope and Contents From the File: Curtis Peacock was the next maestro of the CCS and spent 30 years in total with the Orchestra. The Symphony gained local and national attention, was able to host some of its biggest, most successful events, and became a true, professional Symphony under Peacock's tutelage. Peacock was guided by assistant conductor Rex Eggleston for the 1972-1973 season, notably his trial run as conductor, and by 1974 he was official.
