Scope and Contents From the Item: In light of Matthew Savery's resignation, the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra searched for another maestro for their orchestra and found them in Christopher Dragon. Hailing from Australia, Dragon has brought excitement, enchantment, and a new level of entertainment to Casper alongside the Board and staff members, and of course the talented local and import musicians of the WSO. Scope and Contents From the File: Casper Civic Symphony refers to the post-war condition of the Symphony Orchestra in Casper that started in 1947 with Blaine D. Coolbaugh as its director and continued until 1973 under Curtis Peacock. Under the name Casper Civic Symphony, the orchestra had five conductors: Blaine D. Coolbaugh (1947-1958), Ernest Hagen (1959-1962), Edmund Marty (1962-1970), temporary/assistant conductor Rex Eggleston (1970-1972), and Curtis Peacock (1972-1973).
