Wyoming Symphony Orchestra: Christopher Dragon, 2019 - 2024
Scope and Contents
In light of Matthew Savery's resignation, the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra searched for another maestro for their orchestra and found them in Christopher Dragon. Hailing from Australia, Dragon has brought excitement, enchantment, and a new level of entertainment to Casper alongside the Board and staff members, and of course the talented local and import musicians of the WSO. Dragon accepted the position of maestro in 2019 and has been the conductor of the WSO for five years. Dragon continues to inspire musicians and audiences young and old, continuing the Wine on the River fundraiser, bringing in new, impressive guest artists, and showing the rest of the nation what Wyoming's Symphony Orchestra can do. The documents for Dragon's time with the WSO are conveyed in records, programs, posters, and newspaper clippings from the new Wyoming Symphony Orchestra Archives Collection.
