John R. Jolley Records Related to Surface Damages
Scope and Contents
The John Jolley Records Related to Surface Damages were found in the Western History Center's backlog in 2021. They include records related to the State of Wyoming Board of Land Commissioners and the Office of Stand Lands and Investments. Most of the records pertain to Land Surface Damages and include copies of payments and lease information. The records date between approximately 1992 and 2002. Researchers will find available through the repository other materials used by Jolley. The John R. Jolley papers include a folder of documents and articles regarding State-land exchanges. An exhange in particular involved 14 parcels of State lands in Sublette County for the Willow Creek Ranch north of Cora. The other file contains documents and several photographs regarding land surface damages. This other file appears to have been transferred but never connected to these records concerning surface dameges from 1992-2002. In addition, there are two VHS tapes labeled Ormsby Road and 6 VHS tapes labeled Martins Cove Subcommittee. Researchers will find copies of the Grassroots Advocate and other newspaper clippings on the above-mentioned topics.
