Robert and Catherine Lange Papers
Content Description
The Robert and Catherine Lange Papers appear to consist of multiple accessions in 2003. The first accession was described as things from car, but the second accession record contained a rough inventory of church publications, maps, pamphlets, annuals, and a manuscript by Raymond "Ray" P. Essman on Madame Isabelle and Kemmere's red light district. Upon further review of these accessions, the repository discovered two files of correspondence Lange exchanged between Essman regarding his working alongside Bill Bragg to prepare Essman's manuscript for publication. Lange wrote a personal summary/review of Essman's work, which was published under the title, "Only Count the Sunny Hours: Madame Isabelle's Diary" in 1981. Two copies of the book are held by the University of Wyoming. The Lange Papers include personal correspondence between Robert and Catherine; Wyoming Civic Symphony Orchestra and other music concert programs; national park pamphets; Wyoming clean air data; Oegon, Colorado, Utah and Arizon highway maps; church bulletins; and assorted magazines.
