Casper Civic Symphony: Rex Eggleston, 1970 - 1972
Scope and Contents
When Edmund Marty departed from the Casper Civic Symphony, the orchestra could not find an official conductor to replace him mid-season, so their assistant conductor and music educator Rex Eggleston stepped in to fill the position. Eggleston conducted the CCS from 1970 until 1972 when the Symphony found a new, official conductor. He continued to teach music in Casper as well as guide the young maestro until they could take over. Some of the only documents the collection has for Rex Eggleston are programs, though there are newspaper articles in the 1969-1973 scrapbook and possibly other scrapbooks.
