Scope and Contents
The Jan and Bill Hawks Papers consist of copies of scrapbooks and photoalbums documenting the Casperites who made history for their role in the First Lady's project in 1989, and the Casper Nit Whit's during the 1960s. Researchers will also find a historic photograph of the Fox Farm on Squaw Creek and a milk cap cover from Galles Dairy, a Landmens Wives Directory from 1972-1973, 3 photographs of gardens at site of the old Armory building and Natrona County Library planted by "Bulbs Us Ladies Bought Society" BULBS taken by Jan Hawks, a copy of the 1966 Wyoming on Review, 21 photographs of the Dedication of Chief Washakie in the Rotunda of the State Capitol Building, an article titled "Memo to Girls" with Casperites photographed identified, another article from the Casper Star-Tribune titled "Casper, its influence is still felt," and an issue of the Casper College Chinook from October 20, 1950.
