A collection of documents, correspondence, members lists, and concert-related materials created by or pertaining to the Casper Municipal Band and researched and preserved by Eileen Lawson. Material documenting the history of the Municipal Band in this collection spans from 1890 to 1997. The collection includes handwritten research notes, proceedings on a Band petition, schedules, lists of members and concerts, Municipal Band Commission minutes and notes, correspondence, newsletters, and newspaper articles among other records and ephemera. Not without some controversy, researchers will also find material on the City of Casper's attempt to dismantle the Municipal Band.
