Scope and Contents The collection, which was accessioned from Demorest family descendant Susan Smith-Peter, consists of two record series that document several branches of the family descended from Peter Austin Demorest over time. One, the larger of the two, comprises family photographs spanning the late 1800s through 1999. The photographs are largely portraits and family pictures that reflect home life.
