Scope and Contents Casper Civic Symphony refers to the post-war condition of the Symphony Orchestra in Casper that started in 1947 with Blaine D. Coolbaugh as its director and continued until 1973 under Curtis Peacock. Under the name Casper Civic Symphony, the orchestra had five conductors: Blaine D. Coolbaugh (1947-1958), Ernest Hagen (1959-1962), Edmund Marty (1962-1970), temporary/assistant conductor Rex Eggleston (1970-1972), and Curtis Peacock (1972-1973).
